Mood: waiting for wind
7th May 2009
Windsurfing: Posh beach - Cooden
Wind Direction: WSW
Wind Stength: easing back sadly !!
Surf / Sea State: Some nice waves
Air Temperature: ok
Sea Temperature: ok
Weather: overcast and windy
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Got down to Posh a bit too late as it happens.
Looked pretty windy so opted for the Twin Fin & 5.3m but just as I got to waters edge it eased back a bit.
Ar$e
Looked like it was coming back up a bit so gave it a go, and managed to get up and going once away from the wind shadow on the inside (even though it was cross-on?)
Punched upwind okay once going, however had lost a fair bit of ground getting out. Coming back in wind dropped again so struggled a bit bogging until caught a lucky gust with help of a wave and landed up a fair way downwind. Not quite Bexhill but the view was clearer than from where I'd launched.
Wind looked to be easing all the time, so opted to switch boards from the twin to something much larger .... the 10'5.
The 5.3m is a bit small for the 10'5 so just stuffed it upwind heading out off the plane so could ride some waves coming in.
Wasn't up to much all told, and far too lazy (tired / man-flu'd) to rig the 5.8m so when U-Surf canned it so did I ....
Plenty of folks got there before me and scored it ok, and few rocked up afters and decided to save themselves for a better one ....
Friday looks good ;-)
